Why Nokomis quotes vary so much
A replacement for a manufactured home and one for a site-built house are different projects. We don't publish a flat number; here is what drives the scope instead.
1. Manufactured vs. site-built
Mobile and modular dwellings frequently rely on an outdoor all-in-one package or a downflow closet cabinet pushing air into belly ductwork, and the replacement must be listed for that housing type. Site-built homes typically use a split condenser and air handler.
2. Duct condition
In homes nearing 50 years old, flex runs overhead or beneath floors get crushed, torn, or disconnected. Belly-wrap repairs on manufactured units are common add-ons.
3. Electrical service
Older panels may need a new disconnect or breaker sized for the new equipment and heat strips.
4. Tie-downs and pads
Condensers and packaged units need a proper pad and wind anchoring; some older installs sit on blocks.
5. Heat pump upgrade
Choosing a heat pump over strip heat changes the outdoor unit but lowers winter electric use.
6. Park or HOA rules
Communities may dictate unit placement, screening, or contractor paperwork.
